Images communicate more directly than words

Images are immediately perceived by us. They convey emotions and touch us on a deeper level than words. Language is a learned sign system and writing is a sign system for language. It is not surprising that communication in our society is becoming increasingly visual. Illustrations are able to present complicated issues and create deep emotions across language barriers. They can increase customer identification and build an emotional connection as part of branding. Illustrations are creative, very individual and one of the most original forms of artistic expression of mankind.
