5000 people improve the world by telling a story!

“Terre des hommes” Germany asked us to raise awareness for their latest campaign on Ecological Child Rights. They were accustomed to the traditional campaign strategies such as direct mailing and print campaigns, and were eager to reach a younger audience.

We decided to think beyond creating a standard website, and sought to meet our audience on facebook. We created a story illustrated with 5000 images about a little mountain village suffering from the effects of pesticides. Every new “Like” on Facebook revealed a new image, that preceded a story on how to fight pesticides, while improving life of the mountain village inhabitants. We also continued to add current status updates, which kept our followers informed and involved.

By the time the campaign had ended, “terre des hommes” had not only gained 5000 new perfectly informed and involved followers, they also gained a new channel of communication, by way of the internet.
